Danny Brown’s ‘Ain’t It Funny’ Is Used in ‘Dragon Ball Super’ Teaser

Danny Brown's "Ain't It Funny," a cut from his album Atrocity Exhibition, is being used in a trailer for the upcoming Dragon Ball Super TV show.

Dragon Ball Super is the sequel to the widely popular Dragon Ball Z animé series. The new off-spin premieres on Adult Swim's Toonami this Saturday (Dec. 31) at 11:30 p.m. EST.

It makes sense that Dragon Ball Super would use a Danny Brown record for its teaser because the Detroit MC has shown love for Dragon Ball Z in the past. In September, a Twitter follower asked him which animé character he would be and Brown replied, "Lord Beerus from Dragonball Z."

In other Danny Brown-related news, the 35-year-old artist recently cracked XXL's 50 Best Hip-Hop Projects of 2016. Prior to that, he dropped his Atrocity Exhibition Tour merchandise, which features some fresh hoodies, jackets and t-shirts. And, before that, in early November, Brown released a lyric video for the Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul and Earl Sweatshirt-assisted "Really Doe."
