CJ Fly is slated to release his new FLYTRAP album on Friday, Dec. 9. Today (Dec. 5), the Pro Era MC delivers the music video for "Now You Know."

FLYTRAP will consist of 14 tracks with production from CJ himself, along with dF, SmokeyGotBeatz, Kirk Knight and Hannibal KingYou can check out the album's cover art (drawn by illustrator Dan Lish) above, and scroll down to view the Andrew Pulaski-directed clip for "Now You Know."

The new project marks the first commercial release for the Brooklyn rapper. It's also the first body of work since his standout 2013 mixtape, Thee Way I See It.

The "Now You Know" video is a creative, nearly three-minute, black-and-white visual. CJ Fly spits in an empty warehouse, "Seen too many niggas switch sides/Getting tired of the dick riding/You Luke Warm, I'm John Blaze, my shits fire/Either in the stu or I'm getting high/I don't make a lot but I'm getting by/I know I've sinned but a nigga try/I could roll this weed in a nick of time/Toby break it down smell a whiff of pine/Only 22, so I'm in my prime/Made it here without committing crimes/Making paper off some different lines/Took my life and put it in these rhymes."

The 22-year-old artist recently spoke to Billboard about the new song. “‘Now You Know’ represents that moment you empower yourself after being shitted on or screwed over,” he says. "I freestyled the entire song, and it captured how I was feeling at that moment in my life.”
