G Herbo Is Dropping an Album With Southside

G Herbo pays a visit to The Breakfast Club and reveals that he's dropping a new album with Southside. The Chicago MC also discusses violence in Chicago, working with Nicki Minaj and the Cubs winning the World Series.

First, G Herbo is dropping an EP, then the album with Southside, then his solo LP. The East Side, Chi native says, “I’m dropping an EP next week called Strictly For My Fans. That was something I just put together to show a token of my appreciation for the fans. Then I got a project coming with Southside, an album we’re gonna drop. Then my [solo] debut album, Humble Beast. I don’t really have a date because I have so much that I’m working on.” You can view the nearly 50-minute interview in full above.

The Cinematic Music Group artist says , “It’s all about timing for me. I want to be remembered. I want to be legendary. I don’t want nobody to say, ‘Herb dropped this music and that shit was alright. He ain’t put his time into that. That ain’t the Herb I know.’ I think about that.”

DJ Envy, Charlamagne and Angela Yee also ask G Herbo about the high murder rate in Chicago that persists. G Herbo replies, "It's misguidance. Everybody's all over the place. Even the street dudes. There was once a point in time when street dudes had morals and certain principles to think and move in a certain way. They don't have that no more. The shorties don't have guidance, or they don't have morals in life. When I was growing up, we had community centers to go to, youth centers, AAU programs, something to occupy our time. The kids don't have that no more, and they're just all over the place like cowboys."
