Jidenna delivers a new video for his single "Chief Don't Run." Throughout the four-minute clip, the Wisconsin-born singer shows just how far he's come.

The Alan Ferguson-directed clip features Jidenna taking on a number of different roles - the 31-year-old plays a cop, a criminal and a construction worker. The visual also contains footage of a young Jidenna with his mother, as the two struggle to find shelter and sleep next to an oven to stay warm.

The song is about perseverance - Jidenna came from humble beginnings, but now he's in a position of power, and he's able to rock luxurious suits and drink expensive alcohol. He also recognizes the journey that got him there, and he's able to reflect on all that he's been through.

Jidenna sings, "Before the red cups and the backwoods smoke / Me and mom in the shack in the woods, bro / I was sleepin' on the floor with the oven door open / While I dreamt about the places that I would go."

In other Jidenna-related news, the "Classic Man" crooner recently dropped the video for a different single, called "Little Bit More." The visual for island-inspired track takes place at the beach, with colorful outfits, turquoise blue water and white sand beaches. In January, he unleashed the video for "Knickers." In this clip, Jidenna and his crew turn up at a club during the prohibition era until the cops come and kick them out.
