Birdman Signs Toronto Artist J-Soul

Birdman has traveled north of the border once again to sign his newest artist. Reports have been circulating that the Cash Money co-founder signed Toronto artist J-Soul to a new deal and a rep for Birdman has confirmed with XXL that the rumors are true.

Earlier this week, J-Soul released the video for "Toronto Plaza Motel," which features the "Rich Gang" tag that has appeared on other Birdman-related projects like Tha Tour. The video has already clocked close to 150,000 plays on YouTube and 1.5 million on WorldStarHipHop.

Both Birdman and Soul have been posting pictures on Instagram that confirm the working relationship. "Last year I was homeless," wrote Soul in a caption of a picture of the two. "Life's about to change."

The Toronto representative has also been on Twitter and has alluded to his rising status. "The whole of Toronto is talking about me...Cool," he tweeted. "Don't believe everything you hear or read...I need to get used to these blogs."

Outside of "Toronto Plaza Motel," the rapper's videos have been made private and his music has been taken down from SoundCloud. But his November Twelve mixtape is still available here.
