Back when Kanye West's The Life of Pablo was called Waves, Miguel and Travis Scott cleverly dropped the remix to "Waves." A few weeks and nearly four million SoundCloud streams later and the track gets the video treatment. Shot in a lo-fi, old school style, Miguel, Scott and their accompanying band venture to Baldwin Hills, California and take to the roof of the Wildheart motel to perform in front of a crew of adoring fans. Think The Beatles rooftop performance with much more sex appeal and maybe some heavier drug use involved.

Miguel's Wildheart album dropped in June 2015 and charted as high as No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and wound up on plenty of "Best Of" lists at the end of the year. The success and feedback for Wildheart had Miguel feeling himself and the singer took shots at his pseudo-rival Frank Ocean.

When asked by The Sunday Times about his relationship with Ocean, the "Adorn" crooner responded, "I wouldn't say we were friends. To completely honest--and no disrespect to anyone--I genuinely believe that I make better music, all the way around."

The beef between the two stems from the 2013 Grammy Awards. The two artists were both nominated for Best R&B Album, Frank for Channel Orange, Miguel for Kaleidoscope Dream, and Ocean ended up being crowned the victor.

For an R&B singer, Miguel has the competitive spirit of a battle rapper and it's served him well--the "Coffee" singer is easily one of the best artists in his genre and is respected throughout the music world.
