Charles Hamilton recently reemerged in the hip-hop scene, after years of silence following rumors regarding his mental health. Not only did the rapper just drop a sick freestyle on Hot 97, but he also penned a deal with Republic Records and unveiled "Correct" in late January.

In 2010, when his public struggles were in full swing, Hamilton stopped by XXL to give the truth behind rumors. He admits to recently being released from a hospital in the video and receiving psychiatric help. Following an in-depth discussion about his current mental state and health issues, Charles moves on to do what he does best, rap. As expected, he delivers a dope freestyle touching on then current headlines about happenings in his life.

Hopes were high for Charles Hamilton in 2009, amidst appearing on XXL's Freshmen Cover that year. However, following the co-sign, Charles began to display questionable antics and soon after was dropped from Interscope records. The release set Charles off into a tailspin. A few months later, his mother found him living in an abandoned building in Staten Island contemplating suicide.
