The Game rolled into the New Year receiving some bad news. The Compton rapper recently lost a lawsuit brought against him by a police officer whom was punched by the MC during a pickup basketball game last March.

According to TMZ, the matter didn't even have to go into a lengthy court trial because Jayceon never responded to the suit, resulting in the judge who was over the case to award the officer, Onyebuhi Awaj, a default judgement. Game has been ordered to pay $100,000 - $60K for damages and another $40K as a deterrent against further violent acts from The Documentary MC.

Though the lawsuit may be over, The Game still faces criminal charges stemming from the incident. He appeared in court on Dec 21 to plea not guilty on charges of one felony count of criminal threats and one misdemeanor count of assault and battery. He is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 11.

This is the second time Game has come out on the losing end of a lawsuit in the last few weeks. In late December he was ordered to pay 40 Glocc $3,000 for a street fight they had back in 2012.

He still has more legal issues on the docket. He was recently ordered to stand trial on one felony count of second-degree robbery and one misdemeanor count of criminal threats stemming from an Apr. 11 incident where he allegedly threatened and took the camera of a man filming him being served with legal papers.
