GloRilla

With a thick southern drawl and a penchant for making self-affirming theme songs, GloRilla's quickly become a voice of Memphis' new generation. She dropped off her first project, Most Likely Up Next in 2019, but her true ascent began in 2022. That's when she unloaded "F.N.F. (Let's Go)," an anthemic single that put the spotlight on the virtues of avoiding lame would-be boyfriends. The track features all of the barrel-chested machismo of any street song, but it grafted that mentality onto the everyday struggle of romantic battlefield. These factors, along with a powerful Hitkidd beat, enabled it to peak at No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and helped her secure a deal with Yo Gotti's CMG record label.

She appeared on the label's compilation album, Gangsta Art, that same summer. Her follow-up solo single, "Tomorrow," also earned a buzz. Shortly after its release, GloRilla teamed up with Cardi B for an official remix to the track ("Tomorrow 2"), which helped propel it to No. 9 on the Hot 100. Since then, she continued her rise to prominence. Glo continued by unloading her major label debut project, Anyways, Life's Great. The EP landed at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 albums chart while collecting acclaim from critics and fans alike.

In 2023, she continued to climb when she was named a 2023 XXL Freshman. On her path to status as a face of her city, GloRilla has collected gold and platinum plaques, with her charisma and all-around songwriting skills making her a staple of the area and an imposing force in hip-hop abroad.
