Squidnice counts stacks in his new video for "Trap By My Loney," a gritty new banger that's gotten a lot of attention lately. Check out the Ferrari Xavi-directed visual for yourself below.

The video finds Squidnice, who dropped a track called "Nina" a couple months back, in a few different spots. At one point, he's posted up with his homies, smoking on what looks like his front porch. At another, he's in a dark room clutching a revolver as his people move about in the background. Then, of course, he's in what appears to be the same room—which is lit with glowing blue lights—counting money by himself, living up to the name of the song.

The song itself comes with just the sort of straightforward, matter-of-fact attitude and natural charisma that characterizes the sorts of songs blowing up these days. We expect it to be everywhere this summer. It's catchy and carries an authentic grit that matches up with the video. With these factors in mind, it's easy to see why Frank Ocean had the song played on an episode of his Blonded radio show last week.

"Trap By My Lonely" is all set to appear on Squidnice's forthcoming Trap By My Lonely EP, which doesn't yet have a set release date. The talented MC's also performing at New York City's SOB's on Thursday (June 29). The show, which is open to all ages, will begin at 7 p.m. EST. Cop tickets here.
