Solange Knowles May Have Attacked Jay Z Over Dame Dash’s Ex-Wife, Rachel Roy
The internet rumor mill won't stop until the truth about the Solange Knowles-Jay Z fight is revealed. Now, sources are saying that Solange was outraged over the fact that Dame Dash's ex-wife, Rachel Roy, was getting "too close" to Hov.
The New York Daily News detailed the scene in full, reporting that prior to her altercation with Jay Z, Solange got into an altercation with Rachel Roy while they partied at the Meatpacking District hotel's Boom Boom Room.
"Rachel is a little too close to Jay Z," a source told The New York Daily News. "Solange doesn't like it, and Beyonce doesn't like it." Solange is said to have warned Rachel with the following words, "anyone who gets close to Jay has to be warned and deal with her as a sister," a source told Us Weekly.
However, Roy was not feeling Solange's tone and kept it going, "Rachel is combative and a tough girl," the source said. "She didn't back down." Beyonce and Jay Z then jumped in the middle of the two as they exchanged heated words. When Jay didn't side with his sister-in-law telling her she was "out of line" for mouthing off to Roy," the group left the party.
Then after finding out Jay Z was hitting Rihanna's after party instead of heading home to Blue Ivy with Beyonce, all hell broke loose.
