Stream Skipper’s New Album ‘Prezidential’ Featuring Iamsu and More
Skipper, a member of the Bay Area collective HBK Gang, just dropped a solo album titled Prezidential.
Fresh off of a two-year hiatus, where he tended to personal issues and the health of his family, Skipper is refreshed and ready to go, excited to share new music. The sole focus of his new work? “Keeping it player,” he explains.
The 11-track project is concise, and keeps most of its features in-house. Skipper's HBK comrades appear on a few songs. Iamsu! shows up on "Right Time" and "Fine By Me," and Kool John jumps on "Realest in the Buildin'." The lead single is the song "Nah," which includes a verse from akaFrank, and a video where the two walk the town as drawings fill the screen.
Iamsu! and Skipper have collaborated countless times over the years on tracks like their 2014 work "May 13th."
Skipper also has more music on the way, as Prezidential is the first part of his Skip4Prez series.
