Ski Mask The Slump God Names Timbaland as His Favorite Producer

Ski Mask The Slump God is steadily building his fan base with new music and an upcoming project in the works, but while he's bringing in quite the support system for himself, he's still able to pay homage to the veterans in the game. During an interview for XXL's 360 series, the South Florida rapper recently addressed a few different topics, including who his favorite producer was.

In the conversation, which occurred at Rolling Loud Festival earlier this month, Ski reveals that Timbaland is actually his favorite man behind the boards, praising the major hitmaker for his work in the game over the last two decades. The "BabyWipe" rapper also talks about his upcoming projects, including a tape that will feature all instrumentals. While he mentions Missy Elliott tracks will be on the mixtape, he also shouts out Timbo.

"Then I got another mixtape I'm dropping with just straight all instrumentals, like Missy Elliott instrumentals and shit like that," Ski tells XXL. "Timbaland is my favorite producer. Not to mention...then I got my album coming after that."

In addition, Ski lists a few rappers he's locked in studio time with—of course that includes his right-hand man, XXXTentacion.

He's slated to be coming out with another tape featuring all of his samples, as well as his debut album sometime in the near future. YOUWILLREGRET will feature sample-heavy music while Book Named Eli is set to be comprised of freestyles over old beats.
