The debut solo project from D4L member Shawty Lo has apparently made its way onto the internet and into the hands of bootlegers ahead of its impending release date. But the Atlanta MC wants his fans to know that if they purchase or download the leaked version, they won’t be getting the real product. In a statement released today (February 6) Shawty states that the copies of Units in The City that are currently making the rounds are missing several songs including “Dey Know,” his smash debut single. “Some of my new material was taken from my studio and bootlegged but what people don’t know is that they don’t have the real deal,” Shawty explained. “They don’t have all the songs that’s going on the album. They’re cheating themselves.” Units In The City is due in stores on February 26.
