Rappin’ 4-Tay Accuses Drake Of “Copying” His Lyrics
Yikes.
Life Is...Too Short (1988), expressed his distaste for Drake's verse on YG's "Who Do You Love," via a tweet he sent out Monday (Dec. 30).
The old school MC is claiming that Aubrey Graham borrowed bits and pieces from his classic 1994 "Playaz Club" single.
On “Playaz Club,” 4-Tay opens up with the following lyrics:
"I got a ho named reel-to-reel / She got a buddy named SP 12, now you know the deal / We gets freaky in the studio late night / That's why the beats that you hear are coming real tight."
On YG’s “Who Do You Love,” Drizzy poetics is as follows:
“I got a shorty named Texas Sin / She got a buddy named Young JB and now you know the deal / We turnt up in the studio late night / That’s why the songs that you hear comin’ real tight.”
Listen to both tunes below, weigh in with thoughts after the break.
