It's been a major year for Jazz Cartier, and it looks like he's making sure to secure his future in music in the biggest way possible. After winning the JUNO Award for Rap Record of the Year for his Hotel Paranoia album, the Canadian rapper has officially signed a major label deal with Capitol Records.

Capitol revealed the news on Twitter, where they expressed their excitement to have him join the roster of other talented artists. The label wrote, "Fresh off his 2017 @TheJUNOAwards win for Rap Recording of the Year, welcome @JazzCartier to the #CapitolFamily." The news of the signing isn't exactly surprising to those that have been following the Toronto native's career, as he has been working with Universal Music Canada for quite some time. The rapper will be able to use a lot more resources being signed to Capitol, and hopefully they will help him push his "Tempted" record to climb higher on the charts over the next few months.

This looks to be the beginning of a beautiful relationship and growth period for Cartier, and it looks like he has plenty to celebrate this week. If you want to see Jazz in action, you can catch the MC on the road for his North American tour, which kicked off on March 18 at South By South West in Austin, Texas. He will be hitting cities all over the country and Canada over the next few months before wrapping up in Ontario on July 29. Congratulations to Jazz on his new milestone.
