Rick Ross and Drake reconnect on the introspective track “Gold Roses,” which was released on Friday (July 26).

The song finds the Miami Bawse reflecting on his wins and losses in the rap game. “Yo, I was nominated never won a Grammy/But I understand that I will never understand it/A lot of lives lost but I never panic/A lot of lines cross I never did a Xanax,” he muses in one verse.

Meanwhile, Drizzy, who concluded his Assassination Vacation Tour earlier this year, croons a somber hook encouraging his loved ones to give him his flowers while he’s still alive. “Put some flowers in my face won’t you/Let me know I did okay/Don’t wait till some other day, no, no,” he sings.

This drop surfaces weeks after Drizzy unloaded his latest Rozay collab, “Money in the Grave." That song comes from the Toronto rapper's two-single Best in the World pack that he released in June. The dynamic duo recently shot the music video for “Gold Roses,” which is expected to drop very soon.

Rick Ross is gearing up to deliver his new album Port of Miami II, which is the sequel to his 2006 debut album of the same name. The collection is expected to hit digital stores on Aug. 2.
