Nicki Minaj has returned with a brand new song on Friday (June 21). After breaking her silence on social media with a cryptic message earlier this week, the Queens rapper puts the outlandish fan theories to rest with her new song "Megatron."

Although we've heard her pop up on songs like Chris Brown's "Wobble Up" this year, "Megatron" is Nicki's first solo single of 2019. It's also the first banger we've heard since she dropped her two freestyles on Queen Radio and her Queen album last year.

Nicki's new track is produced by Andrew “Pop” Wansel and Nova Wav, and has a distinctly dancehall vibe as it utilizes a widely used reggae riddem. Minaj flows over the bouncy beat.

"They call me Megatron, just did a telethon/He got Margiela’s on, and I get my jealous on," she spits. "I fuck him like I miss him/He just came out of prison/Bitches be talkin shit, but they ain’t got a pot to piss in/My name is Nicki M, I’m in a sticky Benz/That mean its candy apple red/I’m Barbie, this is Ken."

The head Barb in charge is definitely looking to have this joint bumping all summer and has also released a video for the track, directed by Mike Ho, which also has a island feel. Nicki Minaj seems to be moving in a whole new direction in 2019. After ending her Nicki Minaj Wrld Tour with Juice Wrld in Europe in March, the Harajuku Barbie parted ways with her longtime managers Gee Roberson, Cortez Bryant and Blueprint/Maverick Management in April. She's also preparing to drop her fifth studio album soon.

Nicki confirmed the completion of her next LP during an episode of Queen Radio on Feb. 2. On the outro of her remix of Meek Mill and Drake's "Going Bad," Nicki raps "The label hit me said they want the fifth thing-thing. I got in the studio, I did the fifth thing-thing. And then they say, 'You know, it's time to drop your single.' I said 'Noooo.' You know radio already tried to blackball a bitch.'"
