2 Chainz Drops Two New Songs “Hot Wings” and “Girl’s Best Friend”

Just a couple weeks removed from news that he's been recruited to appear on the Mike WiLL Made-It-curated Creed II soundtrack, 2 Chainz comes through with a new offering of his own.

As a prelude to his upcoming album Rap or Go to the League, the Atlanta rapper today (Nov. 16) dropped a new two-song bundle, Hot Wings Are a Girl’s Best Friend, which comprises of two singles, "Hot Wings" and "Girl's Best Friend" featuring Ty Dolla $ign. The new music marks his first since releasing his 4-song EP The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It back in February of this year.

During "Hot Wings," the marijuana entrepreneur glides over the G Dave and Hit-Boy produced track, rapping, "Protect my family, straight outta ClayCo / Thought I was sweet, just like a Faygo / But I had killers, all on my payroll / Watch how I move, just like a Rayon / 64 Chainz, just like a Crayon." Later in the song's chorus, he draws reference to the title, spitting, "Bitches is fuckin' for hot wings."

The second offering, "Girl's Best Friend," makes reference to the rapper's star-studded wedding ceremony that took place this August.

"Just so you know Dwayne Carter that my best man / I ain't playing so no switching to the next plan," he rhymes. "I need insurance on the chains, damn I need a neck plan / Then I told shawty you ain't really with the X-Games."

Ty Dolla $ign handles the melodic chorus--"I'ma buy some diamonds"--with 2 Chainz singing his second verse and totally switching up his flow.
