Christmas is two months away, but we get an early present from Tyler, The Creator in the form of his new remake of the How the Grinch Stole Christmas anthem, "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch," released on Wednesday (Oct. 24).

The original version was composed in the 1960s for the famed X-Mas cartoon. Tyler adds some 2018 flair to the old classic. The updated version is produced by Sean Phelan and Danny Elfman. Wolf uses the OG lines buts adds some of his own energy. "You're a mean one/You really are a heel/You're as cuddly as a cactus/You're as charming as an eel," he rhymes in drawn out lines. "Mr. Grinch, you're a bad banana (Mr. Grinch), with the greasy black peel/You're a vile one/You got termites in your smile/You have all the tender sweetness/Of a seasick crocodile (Mr. Grinch)."

Toward the end, Tyler breaks out into an original rap. "All them smiles homie/I turn up the frown/All them decorations/I tear em down," he spits. "You can ask Max, I don't play around/Ayo (Eww)/Who is this mean fellow/With his skin all green and his teeth all yellow? (Eww)/What you so mad for?/Halloween come around and we ain't knockin' at your door, mane."

The song will reside on the soundtrack for The Grinch, the upcoming How the Grinch Stole Christmas remake. Both the soundtrack and the film will be released on Nov. 9.

In other Tyler-related news, he recently inked a TV deal with Sony Pictures. His 2018 Camp Flog Gnaw Festival is set to take place Nov. 11-12. The lineup is slated to include Kanye West, Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, Post Malone and more.
