Action Bronson Parts Ways With Atlantic Records, Drops New Song

Action Bronson previously shared his frustrations over releasing new music when it comes to his contract with Atlantic Records, but it looks like any issues are finally resolved. The Queens rapper announced last week (April 13) that he is now a free agent after parting ways with the major label, and dropped a new song called "The Hopeless Romantic" to celebrate.

The "Baby Blue" spitter reveals in a series of tweets that he has "no more label," calling it "Independence Day." He also announces that his White Bronco mixtape will be coming soon before thanking fans for their support.

His new song, "The Hopeless Romantic," is produced by The Alchemist, and comes off the producer's recently dropped Lunch Meat EP. The New York lyricist raps about being overlooked and makes a slew of different metaphors over the horn-infused instrumental.

"It's so easy to just be looked over/Never looked sober," he raps. "Look through the eyes of a soldier/Look fly in the Rover, lions and cobras/Keep the iron in the toga/Send a message, leave you lying over."

The track is one of the most recent releases from Bronson since his Blue Chips 7000 album of last year.

Also in his recent series of tweets, Bronson announces that he is working on a new cookbook titled Stoned Beyond Belief, but doesn't give specific details on when we can expect it to drop.
