ORIGINAL STORY:

Fans are growing more and more impatient as they await the arrival of Kanye West's new album. While we're not sure when we can expect to hear the super producer's forthcoming ninth studio LP, a demo for his newly released song, "Southside Serenade" has surfaced on the web.

The somber track by Yeezy sounds as though it may be paying homage to his late mother, Donda West, who he has frequently made tribute to in the past. The majority of the record features the "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1" rapper singing over the simplistic, melancholy instrumental, which may feel reminiscent to the style of his 808s & Heartbreak album from 2008.

On the new track, Mr. West croons about his lifestyle, as well as his thoughts of someone who is missing from his life, which many fans believe may be a reference to Donda West.

"Sitting on the runway, time on my hands. Thinking of you again. As I replay our conversations," he sings. "Like a mirror looking back at me. Said you’re the Only One."

It's unclear as to whether this song will end up on Yeezy's upcoming project, or whether it's an older loose track, but it does bear a resemblance to his "Only One" record with Paul McCartney from 2014. Regardless, his fan base is happy to get some new Kanye in the meantime.
