Black Milk Exposes Harsh Truths on New Song “True Lies”

Black Milk is gearing up to release his forthcoming Fever album, which hits our ears on Feb. 23, and now fans can get another taste of what they can expect.

The Detroit rapper drops his new "True Lies" record, which features him addressing some harsh truths amongst society. Not only does he challenge organized religions, but he also calls out various forms of institutionalization in the U.S.

Milk doesn't hold back on trying to expose some intense realities on the record, and dives into how populations are being held back from seeing the world around them.

"Teacher, teacher why you keep feeding me false/Information, taught is this a way to keep me lost," he rhymes. "Said you’re here to make us brighter, but you keep me in the dark.”

Last month, Black Milk released his "Laugh Now Cry Later" record, which was self-produced by the entertainer. The previous track and "True Lies" follow the empowering theme of Milk's socially conscious album, which hits our ears later this week.

Fever marks as Black Milk's sixth solo studio LP, and will be comprised of live instrumentation releasing through Mass Appeal Records and Computer Ugly.
