Following a busy 2017, Squidnice returned earlier this month with the video for "Hop Out" and now drops off his latest single, "For My Momma."

With some help from producer A Lau, the New York rapper delivers an auto-tuned track detailing his growing pains. "You see me, I got no problems/You see me all in designer/You see me, I got my bitches/These bitches give brain like a scholar," Squidnice raps.

In a 2017 interview with XXL, the rapper spoke out against comparisons he has received. "I've been compared to everybody but I'd like to say, 'Fuck that,'" he told us.

"Any light-skinned nigga with dreads is compared to me," he continued. "I’m not jacking nobody, fuck that. When I drop my tape, I think people will have a better idea of where I’m coming from and why I say that."

And just like his latest song suggests, Squidnice also has plans to help his mother out. "My goal is to buy my mom a house," he said. "That’s my first goal. She said she wants heated floors. I don’t know about all that [laughs]. But yeah, I do it all for my mother. When she ain’t have no money, she would spend all she had on me. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for her. I owe my life to her."
