Dreezy is no stranger to speaking her mind. On her new single “2nd to None,” featuring 2 Chainz, she again proves that she’s a force to be reckoned with.

The Chicago rapper delivers her signature quick rhymes and flows comfortably over the Southside beat. “I ain’t trippin’ off no nigga, bitch, no not at all,” she rhymes. “I post a pic and make ’em sick, got bitches loggin’ off/I’m taking blunts straight to the face, shit got me noddin’ off/Say I’m a headache but he just gon’ take a Tylenol.”

Tity Boi comes through and chants on the hook, “I’m second to none, you nothin'/I’m second to none, I’m next to a nun, she naked/No disrespect to her, my check long as her confession.”

Last month, Dreezy released "Spar," collaborating with Kodak Black and 6lack on the politically-charged track. Both the lyrics and animated video took aim at President Trump and the racial divides in America. 6lack even challenged the President directly in the hook, stating: “They not rewarding us, they disregarding us/And if I go to D.C., I’m tryna spar with Trump."

Although “2nd to None” is Dreezy’s first time tapping 2 Chainz for a song, her respect for the southern sound is evident from her work with Kodak Black and the freestyle she delivered over his single “Roll in Peace” last month. However, due to Kodak’s recent arrest for gun possession and child neglect, it doesn’t look like the two will be collaborating again any time soon.

Although Dreezy hasn’t given any hints towards when her sophomore album will be released, it’s possible that the release of “Spar” and now “2nd to None” could preface a new project on the horizon.

Dreezy has been open in the past about feeling snubbed by the hip-hop community after being noticeably absent from the BET Awards list last year, and took to Twitter at the time to voice her beef. "Only female to drop a album last year, went platnium, vids all hit millions, 3 tours w/all niggas. No credit. Ima charge it to the game tho 😉,” she said in the May 2017 tweet.

Perhaps in rapping that she’s “2nd to None,” she hopes to remind the world that she’s still on top.
