It's been a few months since we last heard from Dej Loaf, but the Detroit rapper is gearing up for a new album and drops off a new song from her upcoming project.

Ahead of the release of her Liberated album, Dej Loaf teams up with Zaytoven for her latest track, "Big Ole Boss." Keeping up with the title of the song, "Big Ole Boss" finds Dej rapping about strength and independence. "Million dollar conversations, that's big, big talk/No limit to this life I live; it ain't my fault/Bad bitch pay all her bills; she don't need no nigga," she spits.

While Dej's upcoming album doesn't have a release date yet, the album is scheduled to drop next year. According to the rapper, the project will reflect "a lot of growth" from her and serves as her debut on Columbia Records.

The rapper previously spoke to XXL about the album, telling us her sound on the album has changed. "It's different, but not too far off," she said. "They’re gonna understand she’s here to stay. I wanna play with the big dogs. I wanna make big music. I’m making music that I want to last forever, not just a quick hit. I don’t chase hits, I just do music and it comes out how it does."

Dej also revealed the title track of the upcoming album is one of her favorites on the project. "That’s one of my favorites because from the first time I heard Leon [Bridges] I was like, 'Yo, who is this guy? I have to meet him,'" she said. "I was on it immediately and it happened because I put it together. And we’re still picking and choosing [songs] ’cause there’s so many different styles."
