NexXthursday, Quavo and Lil Yachty Get Animated for “Sway” Video

New York-born, Los Angeles-based artist NexXthursday releases the video for "Sway" featuring Quavo and Lil Yachty, The song is making a splash online, gaining over 15 million streams on Spotify and over 7 million streams on Soundcloud.

The video should get plenty of views with its colorful visuals and game-inspired theme. Yachty, Quavo and Thursday pop up as playable characters and then the game begins. The video was directed by Super Deluxe.

"I think this girl on the molly/Either that or she a party girl/I think this girl off a molly/Look how you shakin' your body girl/Damn I'm too drunk to be trippin'/Girl, I'm on plenty of liquor/Girl I brought all of my niggas," NexXthursday raps.

"Sway" is the first single from his forthcoming EP, Natasha, due on Oct. 20. The inspiration behind the CashMoneyAP-produced single was a wild night of partying and drinking.

"Sway was a record that was based on a true story of a wild night in the club and too much liquor," says NexX. "I wanted to connect the fun vibe that I felt that night to the record alongside a trendy hook. When I hear 'Sway', it just reminds me of fun vibes, so we wanted to go non-traditional with this video. I received great responses from the lyric video so I wanted to continue the concept by keeping it bright and fun. It’s just a feel good song and visual."
