Berkeley, Calif.'s Caleborate is one of the most best rappers in the East Bay right now. Today (July 14]), Caleborate drops "Make Me & Take Me" for fans enjoyment. On the new record, Cal lists his favorite rappers out right now and also preaches for other rappers to be original when making music.

"I guess I define winning/Fighting like I'm the black Achilles/100 rounds for you clowns hating on the way I'm spittin'," he raps. "Make Me & Take Me" was inspired by Lil Wayne's classic "Let The Beat Build" and finds the West Coast native taking a phone call from a friend while rapping in the booth plus there's no hook. Just three minutes of relentless bars. “The song feels like what hip hop made me feel when I was a teenager," says Caleborate through email.

"Make Me & Take Me" is the first new song by Caleborate since last month's release of "Produced By J. Cole," a tribute to the Dreamville MC.

The rising MC out caught people’s attention in 2015 with his album Hella Good. The hype expanded in 2016 following Caleb's release his stellar 1993 LP. We spoke to him him for The Break about his goals in music and his plans for the future.
