300 Entertainment artist Navé Monjo has made waves in the hip-hop community with his production work, but now he's stepping into his solo artist shoes. The talented musician teams up with rising Detroit star Tee Grizzley for a brand new record called "We Got It Lit," which could easily work its way into becoming a summer anthem in the streets. Listen to the XXL exclusive below.

While speaking with XXL about his newest release, Navé reveals why he decided to recruit the My Moment rapper (who's also signed to 300) for the club banger, and what the energy was like while making the track.

"Tee Grizzley was a perfect fit for the song because he’s a very talented artist and I’ve been a fan of his work. We are both from the Midwest Kansas City to Detroit so it was extremely amazing that this happened," says Monjo.

"I started making the beat in the kitchen at Patchwerk Studios in Atlanta because all the rooms were booked at the time and I had this idea in my head that I had to get out right away. I finished the beat and went straight to the booth and started working. While I was recording the record Tee walked in the session and said, 'Man, who is that singing? That go hard. I didn't even know you could sing like that.' Moments later Tee turnt up with me in the studio and says, 'Yo, ’Vé, I have a verse for this song.' And he goes in the booth, then boom. The song happened right then and there, and he recorded something that I didn't even expect, which made it special.

"The energy in the room was so high that, honestly, it was one of the most greatest unexpected moments of my life," Navé continued. "Then we got on Instagram Live, and Tee shouted me out, and the responses were just too great. I can't explain the feeling but I appreciate Tee Grizzley for rocking with me and making this song something great!"

Navé also discussed where the inspiration for "We Got It Lit" came from, detailing how being at the legendary ATL studio motivated him.

"The inspiration of this song came from me being at Patchwerk Studios for the first time, and looking at all the greats on the wall. I told myself that I wouldn't leave this place with out making a smash!" he said.

While Navé will continue to provide us with hot records, Tee is gearing up to release his new album, Activated, in the near future. He's also pitched himself to join the 2017 XXL Freshmen class that will be unveiled this summer.
