Pittsburgh has a young new rapper coming out of the city. Jimmy Wopo is a charismatic 20-year-old rhymer from Steel City who's different from big-name rappers who came out of his hometown like Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. For his newest song "Bench Boy," which is produced by Stevie B, Wopo raps about how he's a star player and his haters ride the pine.

"Bench Boy" is off of Wopo's forthcoming Jordan Kobe mixtape, which drops April 24.

"You ain't starting you just ride the bench/Bench boy, you ain't getting in/Bench boy, you ain't never win/You aint starting you just play the bench," he raps on the hook.

Born in Pittsburgh's violent Hill District neighborhood, Wopo hit big with his "Elm Street" video, racking in 3 million views on YouTube. Jordan Kobe will be a step in the right direction for Wopo in 2017.

"The Jordan Kobe mixtape title is based around a project building on Chauncey Drive in the Hill District in Pittsburgh, Pa.," he explains to XXL via email. "Me and my boys had the key to this abandoned apartment on the first floor and the address was 2423, and we had so much fun that summer. We went through so much shit together, and that crib was the last good memory we all had with my friend, Lumber, who passed away after the summer. On my remix to 'No Heart,' I said 'we on that deuce-four, two-three Jordan Kobe,' and that bar was just so lit if you know where I was coming from."
