Bodega Bamz covers Childish Gambino’s “Redbone,” a standout off of Awaken, My Love!, for a new song called "Heartbreak Hotel." Over the smooth instrumental, Bodega raps about a past relationship.

"So do you need eyes just to cry now?/Should there be a 'good' in 'goodbye' now?/Is the world big enough to hide now/From yourself? Are you brave enough to try now?/So the pain eventually has to die now/Don't let it be a wave then subside now/The truth is, we'd rather believe in lies now/Than accept what's the truth deep inside now/And if it's perfect, what would be the perfect endin'?/I don't need perfect in a perfect settin'," he rhymes.

This is the first new record directly from Bodega Bamz in a little over a month. His last record was "Can't Ban the Tan" and before that he dropped guest verses for Axel Leon's "Crazy Niggaz" and collaborated with Remy Banks for "Ryu x Ken." Bodega Bamz's last project was All Eyez Off Me last year.

As for Childish Gambino, he's working with Chance The Rapper for a joint project. He recently spoke about how they need to find time to work on it.

“We definitely met up before. I don’t know if I’ll see him again now that he’s won a Grammy. We’ll see what happens,” Glover said with a laugh. Hopefully they drop that album sooner rather than later.
