Missy Elliott is back. She shared her new single and video titled "I'm Better" today (Jan. 27). The song sounds like it was made by Metro Boomin but Missy finds a way to make it her own. She switches deliveries from triplet flow to harmonizing while Lamb comes in for the hook. The visuals are the highlight of the song. Missy is really one of the most creative hip-hop artists of all-time. The video was directed by Missy and Dave Meyers,

"He say I'm hot, I'm so fuego/Pull up on him in my vehicle/He say I'm pretty, I'm pretty/You must be from Brazil, it must be from Me-hico/Roll up on him in my Lambo/Jump out like skrrrt, yeah bro," she raps.

The 45-year-old artist has been in and out of the music industry for the last year. She made her major return last year during the 2015 Super Bowl halftime performance, joining Katy Perry on stage. Since the event, Missy has been featured on a couple of records like Fall Out Boy's “Ghostbusters (I'm Not Afraid)”  and released non-album singles such as “Pep Rally” and “WTF (Where They From)” with Pharrell. It's been over 10 years since her last album Missy released The Cookout in 2005.

She also contributed on “This Is for My Girls” in collaboration with Michelle Obama. Listen to "I'm Better" on above. Be on the lookout for her documentary, which is coming soon.

In an interview with FACT, Missy said she has"at least five, six albums of music, but it’s blackmail music that I would never put out." Get excited.
