Rob $tone caps off his successful 2016 by dropping new music. The San Diego rapper releases his new EP Lemotional Season, by 1207 this week. The nine-track project houses woozy and hopeful bars from Rob, Spooks and Malik Burgers plus production from Malik Burgers, Dubz, Nate Fox and many more. Along with the music, Rob shared a note for his fans explaining the drop.

"It's been a long, wild, year," wrote the rapper. "I grabbed my brothers Spooks and Malik Burgers to help me complete this free project for you all. Stay Cashed, it's Lemotional Season."

The Sunshine State MC rose to prominence this spring when his 2014 song "Chill Bill" started gaining steam thanks in part to a remix featuring D.R.A.M., Denzel Curry and Cousin Stizz. When XXL caught up with the 21-year-old for The Break, $tone talked about believing that his breakthrough single would take off right from the beginning.

“I knew it the whole time. Nobody else knew it but me," he said. "It takes a lot to fucking sit and say, I’m going to drop out of college, fuck a job and I’m going to dedicate my life to being a rapper and make it happen in two years. It’s wild. It definitely gives me crazy confidence about myself, but I’ll never let it get out of control. ”
