Chance The Rapper's contribution to The Hamilton Mixtape is here.

The Chicago artist teams up with Francis and The Lights on the song "Dear Theodosia (Reprise)." The song is taken directly from the musical, as the characters Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton sing it as a welcome to their respective sons Theodosia and Phillip.

Chance sings the ballad on the mixtape version, crooning, "Dear Theodosia, what to say to you?/You have my eyes/You have your mother’s name/When you came into the world, you cried and it broke my heart/I’m dedicating every day to you/Domestic life was never quite my style/When you smile/You knock me out, I fall apart/And I thought I was so smart."

On the second verse, Chano and Francis share the vibe singing, "Oh Philip, when you smile I am undone, my son/Look at my son. Pride is not the word I’m looking for/There is so much more inside me now/Oh Philip, you outshine the morning sun, my son/And when you smile, I fall apart/And I thought I was so smart."

The Hamilton Mixtape, featuring music from the award-winning stage play, dropped yesterday (Dec. 2). The project boasts guest appearances from Nas, The Roots, Wiz Khalifa, Dave East, Bust Rhymes, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Ja Rule and many more.

Chance fans got good news a couple weeks back when the rapper revealed he is finally working on his debut album. “I think what I’m working on now is an album,” he recently said in an interview with DJ Semtex. “But I think it’s also in two parts. I think when I’m making music usually, I’m writing it because I want you to listen to it in the car but I’m also thinking about the day we finally meet and I get to play it for you in front of a bunch of people and we get to sing along. So in part, yeah I want to make an album."
