Lloyd Banks unleashes a new track called "Misunderstood," produced by Beat Butcha. You can listen to the nearly four-minute song above via YouTube.

The G-Unit artist tweeted on Friday (Nov. 25) that he'd drop something new if the Knicks beat the Charlotte Hornets that night. After Carmelo Anthony hit the game-winning jumper in overtime, Banks delivered with "Misunderstood."

The song contains a throwback, gritty NYC feel. The drums are loud and booming on "Misunderstood," and Banks clears his mind, spitting, "Niggas will pay to see you rep crack/Young king in my met cap/Cross like Kenny Anderson shout out to LeFrak/Fly I brung out my jet pack/How, I can't let the stress stack/Demons hawkin' me by the double, who need a setback/Loyalty, I respect that."

"Misunderstood" is the first song from Banks' resurrected 'Blue Friday' series. The Queens rapper started the series in 2010, releasing new records every Friday and culminating with a full mixtape.

In case you missed it, XXL recently put together a list containing 50 of Lloyd Banks' Best Punchlines. Back on Halloween, Banks dropped is Halloween Havoc 3 mixtape, consisting of 14 spooked-out tracks with no features. Prior to that, he released his All or Nothing: Live it Up mixtape with guest verses from Prodigy, Styles P, Vado, Tony Yayo and Joe Budden.
