J. Stalin delivered a follow-up to his On Behalf of the Streets mixtape ten years in the making. The Oakland rapper dropped off On Behalf of the Streets 2 last week (Oct. 28). The unrelenting hour and a half Soundcloud tape houses 23 tracks and features from The Jacka, G-Eazy, Nef The Pharaoh, K Camp and more. Stalin delivers both hardcore rhymes and laid back chill nuances all on the same project. Stalin preceded the release of the project earlier in October by dropping the video to "Get Me Some" featuring The Nef Pharaoh and Lil Blood. On Behalf of the Streets 2 is produced entirely by The Mekanix.

With features from Mistah F.A.B., Keak da Sneak and more, 2006's On Behalf of the Streets helped put Stalin on the map and assert the hyphy movement nationally. According to Stalin, the sequel picks up right where the original left off.

“When I say it’s on my behalf, I went from rapping just not about me, but speaking on behalf of the streets/my friends,” J. Stalin told HipHopDX. “I’m talking about selling dope, busting guns, trying to have a different life. I picked up exactly where I left off from On Behalf of the Streets 10 years ago. It’s like a movie. It’s like I’m still the same J. Stalin that was on OBOTS but a more successful J Stalin now.”
