Skyzoo and Apollo Brown just dropped an excellent album called The Easy Truth. The duo released a music video for the Joell Ortiz-assisted single "A Couple Dollars" as a reminder to check out the new LP. The video sees all three men posted up on the block while the Skyzoo and Joell Ortiz rap about their respective journeys.

"For me, this record is a personal favorite of mine because of what it represents as far as my perspective," Skyzoo said about the track. "Coming up, I saw certain things in my neighborhood, which led to certain aspirations, which led to motivation of all sorts. This record is about how those things come about, and how they started in the first place, dating back 400+ years ago, as pointed out in the second verse. This song stands as another testament to who, what, when, where and why as far as how it is in my neighborhood."

Joell Ortiz was happy to help Skyzoo and Apollo Brown on this record because of the subject matter. The Slaugterhouse member said it was important to remember how his come up began.

"Always feels good to tell the story of my past and how it was growing up in my projects in Brooklyn,” he said. “Reminds me where I came from. You need that reminder every now and then to keep you focused and sharp.”

Skyzoo and Apollo Brown's The Easy Truth - which also features guest appearances by Stalley, Westside Gunn and Conway - is available now via Mello Music Group. The 15-track LP can be streamed and purchased on Bandcamp as well as other digital outlets like iTunes.
