Fresh off of releasing the fantastic Thirst 48 Pt. II mixtape, Boogie releases a video for "Nigga Needs," a cut from project. In the Riley Keough-directed Booge is seen standing in an abandon building when he realizes that he's been shot. When the screen slowly backs up, viewers realize that he's a object in a museum. The video is one of the best you'll see this year.

Thirst 48 Pt. II explores Boogie's relationships with women — including his on again/off again girlfriend Jamesha. The multi-layered projects shows off the Compton native incredible growth as an artist and fans get to know him more as a person.

The tape includes features from K Camp, Mozzy and DJ Quik as well as production from Swiff D, C. Ballin and Boogie's long time collaborator Keyel. Last year we talked to Boogie about what his goal in music is.

“My goal is to live my message out,” he told XXL. “I want to better my mentality of the youth and the people older than me. Not saying my mentality is the right mentality; I feel my message can help a lot of people as far as the cycle of gang bangin’ in a generation where it seems like we glorify it. I’m from it. I’m from the heart of gang bangin’. I don’t feel like I glorify it, I just tell my story.”
