Raury is becoming disillusioned with the music industry. The Atlanta rapper is frustrated by the fakeness such as those who never paid him any mind before he blew up acting like his friends. The former XXL Freshman explores these feelings on the new single "Butterfly" produced by Danny Parra.

The gentle nature of the production contrasts the dark subject matter of the song. Raury contemplates suicide in an effort to ease his pain. He also reflects on how things have drastically changed for him over the past few years.

"I walked the school halls they would call me a wannabe/I did the small shows that nobody would come to see/I gave in to madness, I would cave in to sadness/I would only imagine that I'd become a nigga like this," Raury raps.

The new song might be a sign that Raury's got another project in the pipeline. The young artist popped up in July with a DJ Khalil-produced track called "Neveralone."

The last project fans got from Raury was his 2015 album All We Need. That LP featured guest appearances by the likes of RZA, Big K.R.I.T., Key! and Tom Morello. Big names like DJ Khalil, Danger Mouse, Jacknife Lee and Daytrip also contributed to the production of All We Need.

The biggest endeavor of Raury's year so far was his third annual Raurfest in Atlanta. The free event took place in July and included performances by Joey Badass, Kirk Knight and Kilo Kish.
