Young Thug and Usher Know “No Limit” on New Collab

Both Usher and Young Thug may put on for Atlanta, but they're channeling Master P and New Orleans on their latest. "No Limit," which was produced by Brandon "B.A.M." Hodge and Christopher Perry, pairs the two musicians as they put a spin on the No Limit Records classic "Make 'Em Say Uhh."

The many nods to P make the concept flip an obvious one, with Ursh telling his bedmate that like Master P, his black card has no limits. On the track's bridge, Usher furthers the mid-90s reference, singing, "Cause I may not know you / Just let me hold you / You be my soldier / Like you from the Nola." While Thugger closes out the track with a verse, his influence can be heard not only on the track's background vocals, but in the way Usher packs and unpacks words into a single bar or line.

"No Limit" is likely a single from Usher's upcoming album Flawed, which will be the eighth studio release for the singer. Back in February, Usher teamed up with Nas and Bibi Bourelly for "Chains," a video which focuses on the plight faced by young black men who are racially profiled, abused and killed by white police. The song had dropped a few months prior, with Usher announcing in January that he was working on Flawed.

Listen to a preview of "No Limit" below, as the song remains a Tidal exclusive. Flawed was originally expected to drop in April, though has since been pushed back. The emergence of "No Limit" likely signals that a summer or fall release is coming.
