With "cloud rap" beats, Clams Casino has solidified himself as one of the most talked about producers in the game and became a go-to for accomplishing a euphoric sound in hip-hop. The New Jersey-hailing beatsmith has worked with Lil B, Mac Miller, the A$AP Mob and more over the years and he's now readying the world for his own debut.

Clams drops "Blast," the first track off his upcoming debut album 32 Levels today (May 19). 32 Levels, slated to drop on July 15, and the visual that accompanies the beat, courtesy of Strangeloop, fittingly depicts a cloudy, lucid dream with a person falling up.

Clams, real name Michael Volpe, has gotten some pretty good looks this year alone thanks to production credits on A$AP Ferg's sophomore LP Always Strive and Prosper with "Rebirth", "Psycho" and "Beautiful People." Volpe's self-released Instrumental Tape and Rainforest EP in 2011 soon caught the ear of hip-hop's new school. He then followed it up with Instrumental Tape 2 in 2012 and Instrumentals 3 in 2013. Over the 29-year-old's career, the producer has gained co-signs from other beat smiths in the genre. When XXL caught up with Flying Lotus last, the experimental FlyLo admitted that he wished he'd produced one of Clam's bangers.

"That Clams Casino, 'I’m God.' I wish I had produced that one. That seems like real in my element right there. Every time I play that shit. That’s a good one."

32 Levels will be released under Columbia Records. Check out "Blast" above in the meantime.
