Kanye West's "Real Friends" has been out for a few months now, but the sentiments held there within continue to resonate with rappers and musicians alike. Erykah Badu and Styles P have each lent their take on the Ty Dolla $ign-featured track, and now Waka Flocka gives the instrumental a spin, using the opportunity to get mature and reflective.

“I wish my niggas stopped thuggin cause we got children / They say that I’m bugging, but I’ma keep it real, man / I’m awake and I see this world we buildin',” he raps on the track, later taking a page from Kanye and illuminating some of the issues he's had with those close to him. "I spent so much money helping other people out / So I got out that fast lane, I’d rather take the scenic route," he says.

Flocka likewise references his vegan lifestyle, a piece that got the rapper in a bit of trouble recently during a stop in Seattle. Waka consumed one too many weed edibles before and after his show there, and as a vegan, his stomach couldn't handle the GMOs they contained. That led to a photo Waka posted to Instagram of himself being treated in ambulance with the caption, "Aw man. #seattle was too much last night. #nonGMO edibles and 20 more blunts later."

Luckily, Waka's got some real friends like DJ Whoo Kid ("told him to chill with those #nonGMO edibles and tons of weed") looking after him. Listen to Flockavelli's latest up above.
