The passing of Phife Dawg has many people in the hip-hop community in mourning mode, while others attempt to deal with the tragic loss through song. Wiz Khalifa is the latest MC to pay homage to the late A Tribe Called Quest rapper on wax as the Pittsburgh spitta drops a remix of the classic ATCQ track "Electric Relaxation."

"Smoke one for Phife Dawg, the whole Tribe," Wiz urges listeners at the begging of the track before trading bars with Malik. Khalifa switches out Q-Tip's vocals for his, but keeps the same rhyme pattern giving the remix an almost original feel.

Rappers have been showing love to Phife since the word of his passing on Wednesday (March 23). That same day, Kendrick Lamar led a crowd of 18,000 in a chant of Phife Dawg’s name during one of his concerts. “There’s 18,000 in this arena tonight, but I need one favor,” said K.Dot. “Today, we lost one of the pioneers of hip-hop by the name of Phife Dawg…We’re gonna give it up for him for allowing me to do what I do on this stage today,” he told the crowd.

Mac Miller also paid homage to Phife with the track "The Five Foot Assasin."

Atlanta news correspondent Mark Atrum even gave the late rapper the illest salute while giving his daily on-air traffic report.

The Funky Diabetic will surely be missed.
