Lil Mama may be able to take the memes about her with a positive attitude, but that doesn't mean she'll be adding to the fanfare with her latest video. Titled "Memes" itself, Mama's newest visual is a standard on-set offering, with the Harlem rapper evoking the spirit of the late great B.I.G. as she sits royal while decked out in all white with a cane by her side.

The track is off the rapper's Take Me Back EP which available to stream and download at her official website. In a recent interview with Power 105's The Breakfast Club, Lil Mama explained the song's sentiment, saying that the many memes poking fun at her don't bother her as much as one might expect. “I was able to relate to the comedy around it,” she said. “I wasn’t that deep into it at the moment. When you see something like that you take it with a grain of salt.”

Specifically, many have attempted to ridicule the female MC for her resemblance to Bow Wow or for the tears shed during a 2011 interview at the same radio station. The video, which was directed by Walu, even uses portions of that initial interview to set up the premise for the track. Though the video has a fairly straightforward and simple treatment, one portion shows Lil Mama grouping and dismissing the many memes that have used her as a punchline in the past. What's apparent by the song and video though is that Mama is serious about her rapping skills and puts her best lyrical foot forward in her latest.
