Akon has not released an album since 2008, but that looks like it's about to change. The singer announced his ambitious plans for a four-part album called Stadium. The project would be divided by the subtitles Island, Urban, World and House. While there is still no release date yet, the music is slowly starting to arrive.

The newest single from Akon is called "Good Girls Lie," and it's available for purchase on iTunes. The song is an upbeat track that sounds like it's destined for some radio and club play in the near future.

"Them good girls lie for good love/And bad boys lie, just cause/Good boys ain't no fun/Bad boys carry guns/Empty that clip, talk that shit/Fuck y'all 'til you come," Akon sings on the hook.

With a huge album release like Akon plans for Stadium, "Good Girls Lie" is just a small taste of what fans can expect to hear from the LP. The "Locked Up" singer previously released five singles from the album in January 2015. This past month, he offered up a remix for "Forever" featuring hip-hop's current hitmaker Future.

It appears Akon is getting back to his music career after focusing on some noble humanitarian efforts. The Konvict Musik boss helped create a solar technology training academy in Africa last year. The singer had already done work to improve his homeland three years prior when he created Akon Lighting Africa. The company made big impact as it helped bring power to 14 countries on the continent.
