Boosie Badazz kicks off the year strong, dropping a new album no one saw coming. After a recent health scare threatened his life, Boosie Boo goes hard in the studio pouring out his thug heart on the new LP, In My Feelings (Goin Thru It). The new project contains 10 tracks from the Baton Rouge rapper, with no features. It only takes one look at the tracklist to know Boosie is touching on some serious issues in his personal life with tiles like, "Cancer," "Warning Signs," "Smile To Keep From Crying" and "Roller Coaster Ride." The album cover even shows an X-Ray view of a body with a bright red spot near the stomach which is an apparent nod to his recent health issues.

Indeed the rapper has been 'going through it' in the past few months. After coming home from prison in March 2014 and having the best year of his life, Boosie announced he had been diagnosed with kidney cancer this past November. A couple weeks later he underwent surgery to have the cancer removed which resulted in doctors having to remove half of his kidney in a procedure called a nephrectomy. BadAzz didn’t have insurance and had to foot the entire $90,000 tab for the surgery. The procedure was successful and he is on the road to recovery, but this whole ordeal has apparently given him plenty of deep material to draw from.
