Shy Glizzy hasn't had the holiday season he expected. The Washington, D.C. native has come under fire on social media for supposedly having his chain snatched during a performance in Memphis. Despite attempts to set the record straight as to what happened, Twitter users stuck to the original, catchiest story.

So now Glizzy's taking the next step. Today (Dec. 29), the rapper dropped a new song, "Cut It," which speaks on the chain incident and claims that it was the target of scramble full of "broke boys" after the clasp broke and it hit the floor. He also takes some pointed shots at DJ Akademiks, the online personality who posted an image of the chain and said some Memphis "savages" had stolen it.

Glizzy's "Cut It" is a remix of the track by the same name on O.T. Genasis' Rhythm & Bricks. The original features a contribution from Young Dolph, one of the most prominent rappers to come out of--you guessed it--Memphis.
