Listen to Kevin Gates, “Tattoo Session”

Kevin Gates' talent has never been in question, it's what he does away from the microphone that raises eyebrows. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native is one of the more respected lyricists on the scene and "Tattoo Session" is another example of the MC's lyrical acumen. Gates flows for nearly five minutes but it's the final 30-seconds where Gates addresses all the off-wax things that keep him in the headlines. According to the rapper, he is the reason why every one in the game is talking about "eating booty" and sagging their pants. Gates also calls out an anonymous somebody who he refers to as a "bitch." Gates' long-awaited debut album Islah is set to drop in December. Former XXL Freshman spent his summer in the studio. Gates dropped “Tomorrow” and the video to ”Kno One,” both of which came after May’s Murder for Hire mixtape. He most recently put out “The Truth,” where he tells his side of the female fan kicking story that may cost him in the court room.
