Lian Neeson, eat your heart out. Eminem just dropped the video for "Phenomenal," the lead single from the Mathers-produced soundtrack for the Jake Gyllenhaal boxing movie Southpaw, and it's kind of epic. Totaling in at over seven minutes the video is more like a short film complete with action-packed sequences and Em whipping ass like Jet Li.

It starts off with Shady waking up in a hospital, dazed and confused. After somewhat coming to his senses, he commences to pass out fades to hospital staff and anyone who tries to stop him from leaving. Em then has a conversation with antagonist John Malkovich who somewhat reveals that Em was undergoing some kind of strange experiment. Marshall then gets on some Grand Theft Auto ish stealing vehicles in order to make a getaway. He later catches a helicopter then jumps from it when he realizes the bad guys are about to blow it to bits. After landing (unscathed of course) Em links up with Dr. Dre for the final sequence.

Does it make sense? No. But is it entertaining as all hell? Yes in deed! Mathers might have a calling as a movie action hero when it's all said and done.

Southpaw is directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by Kurt Sutter. It follows the story of fictional boxer Billy Hope who retires at the height of his fame only to be forced back into the ring to save his family. The film hits theaters July 24.
