With his Def Jam debut, Living Legend, due out this summer, Gunplay has tapped the architects of last year's cookout playlists to help with their 2015 editions. The YG-featuring, DJ Mustard-produced "Wuzhanindoe" drops Don Logan into a hazy Southern California. "I'ma be the nigga that you ran out of luck on," he warns, his bark meshing perfectly with what might be called late-period ratchet. For his part, YG turns in a stellar verse with the requisite numbers of Bs. Gunplay's most recently solo release was last year's self-titled mixtape; his most widely-distributed release was 2013's Acquitted. The latter featured his biggest record to date, "Bible on the Dash." Fans who may be unfamiliar with the Miami rapper's solo catalog might have heard his guest verse on "Cartoon & Cereal," a 2012 loosie from Kendrick Lamar.
